  • Positive reactions flood social media; however, availability varies by location.

Iceland has recently captured the attention of fast food enthusiasts by launching a new dipping sauce dubbed the Double Mac Dipping Sauce, priced at £1.50 for a 200g container. This mayonnaise-based dip ingeniously combines tomato ketchup, onions, and gherkins, emulating the beloved flavors of a McDonald's Big Mac.

The release of this sauce has sparked a frenzy on social media platforms like Facebook, where users are sharing their excitement and frustration over trying to find it in stores. While one user lamented its frequent unavailability, saying, “Always sold out near me,” others expressed sheer delight, with comments like “Sauce heaven” and “I wanna try soo bad.”

Keira Clarke at The Sun reported that the enthusiasm doesn't stop at this sauce. Iceland has also introduced other tempting options such as the Piri Piri and Ranch dipping sauces, both available for £1.50. Additionally, the Ranch sauce offers a creamy mix of buttermilk, mayonnaise, and garlic puree, broadening the variety for sauce lovers.

Beyond just sauces, Iceland has been known for its Snacksters range, which provides McDonald’s lookalike meals at significantly lower prices. For instance, the Iceland Chicken Stack is nearly 70% cheaper than McDonald’s Chicken Big Mac, and their 20 chicken nuggets are £2.10 less than McDonald's. These products, found in the frozen section, are designed for quick preparation in an oven or air fryer, making it easy to enjoy a fast-food experience at home.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "Iceland’s strategy of introducing McDonald's-inspired products at a fraction of the price caters brilliantly to budget-conscious consumers. Their latest sauce release further demonstrates their commitment to variety and value."
