It's a gimmick from McDonalds as it clearly costs less to print a box with a smile than it does without! Cashing in on mental health in the worst way possible 😠

tumblespots I was thinking, I don't go to McDonald's to talk about mental health. And Happy Meals are for kids. We only take the kids to McDonald's so we can get 5 mins of silence while they eat and get ketchup on their clothes.

I don't think it will make a difference. The kids probably won't notice and even if they do they won't get the significance, not the younger ones anyway. It's been that long since my 5 year had a happy meal I didn't even notice the smile was gone in the picture.

MrsCraig I think they've only just done it and it's only gonna be for a week or so. Nothing long term and it's never been done before.

How low will they go. Someone should point out to McDonalds that profiteering off the backs of the 'mental health' problem is not cool. Yes it is a big deal, yes it is a popular topic in today's society as a worthwhile cause that needs all the help it can get. But really? Come on McDonalds, put your hand in your own pocket and help these people out without resorting to turning it into a money making gimmick.

Happy Meals have increased from £1.99 to £2.99, no cool toy, and now no smile? Great job, McDonald'$.
