About 10 years ago these donuts where the best thing around but now I find them less attractive. My local garage has them and you often wonder how long they have been sat there for or when they actually got made. Other firms have really taken over the luxury donut sector in my area and kispy kreme haven't kept up.

I recently signed up for the Krispy Kreme app. They had an offer on of a welcome doughnut which I thought I would take advantage off. I placed the free doughnut offer in my wallet on the app and selected Tesco stores to redeem this. I went and picked up my free original glazed doughnut in Tescos and took this to their customer services desk to scan the free code on my Krispy Kreme app. I was told that the code was not valid. The doughnut was £2.00 to purchase which is very expensive for something so small. I told the customer services that I didn't want this as I had a free offer and the doughnut was thrown in the bin. I was very embarrassed as there was a queue behind me. I contacted Krispy Kreme customer services about this, telling them all of the above. I was told that Tesco is a third party to Krispy Kreme and that in order to redeem the welcome doughnut the voucher had to be printed and presented in store. I could only redeem via the app at a Krispy Kreme shop. I got no apology or acknowledgement for my embarrament in store, just a generic email response. Krispy Kreme should make it clear to customers that the voucher has to be printed for Tesco redemption. My nearest Krispy Kreme store is 30 miles away so I have now cancelled this app. I'm really unimpressed by this Company.

Popped into Krispy Kreme yesterday with my son, was a very hot day so he ordered a milkshake, the store had run out of cream so to make up for disappointment they offered us a large milkshake for the price of a small one. The team went over and above for my son yesterday and the milkshake was delicious. We were happy customers.
