Is 02 or 3 a Good Phone Network

Ask a Question

Hi guys, my contract with ee has come to an end. Recently I've noticed the reception for ee has gone downhill. So i have planned go change networks. Ive neen recommended 3 or 02. What do you guys think?

It depends on your area. In my area, EE is better than o2 and three, with the latter not getting any signal at all in certain dead spots.

Do you have a friend that has a phone using either 3 or O2 locally? Maybe they can give you some advice.

I was on EE for years and had crappy coverage. Decided to switch to another provider who piggybacks off O2 and I get a much better reception.

As hspexy says, it all depends on your area.

If you are considering O2 you should also consider Sky Mobile.

They use the O2 network, plus you can get some really good SIM only deals at the moment.

I'm paying £5.40 a month for free Minutes, texts and a nice chunk of data.

You can always order some payg sims for free and try out the various networks on your phone to see how they fare. I know O2 no longer does payg classic sims they only do sims where any credit expires after a month. However giffgaff do classic payg on the O2 network.

I wasn't aware there were any free PAYG sims you could use without buying some credit before you use. Will you name some?

I use a PAYG that is 1p a minute, text or mb of data (£10 every 4 months minimum - but any unused credit rolls over). I currently have over £57 credit.

I was with EE until May, when I changed to 3 as they offered unlimited data. Sadly, 3’s 4G coverage in the UB10 area is pants, so I’ve just gone back to EE!

Can't say about O2 but Three is awful. Very poor reception and slow speeds.

EE is the best as it has the widest network but can get expensive.

I'm with Vodafone, Voxi to be more specific and it's sooo good. The promotion they do 2 movie tickets for 7 pounds is great as well.

I am with o2 and the signal seems to be good in most places for me in city and built up areas, but not so great in rural areas. Their customer service is pretty poor, and their prices are fairly expensive unless you join on a good deal, after being a customer with them for years they seem to treat you worse 😂

Wow some wondeful suggestions. My problem with ee is i get really bad reception in my area unfortunately. Hence the reason I'm thinking of moving. But i think i might have to just try it out with both companies

Don't touch Three even for free. Network coverage shocking. They talk about 5G but they can't even get 4G right. Oh and customer service... don't get me started! Non UK call centres.

Stick with EE
