I think that every brand/company should offer a "10% off your order for your first purchase" offer. I feel like as well as helping out the customer with money off, it would also help the business get sales due to people being intrigued with the offer.. anybody else agree?
DEFINITELY NOT - I believe that all customers should be treated equally. Introductory offers to new customers in my opinion STINKS.
When I see companies not showing LOYALTY to their existing customers - I don't become one of their new ones.
I would prefer to see retailers rewarding their loyal customers with discounts and perks, further encouraging repeat business, rather than rewarding new customers who may only ever buy from them once.
Similarly if I frequent a restaurant often (with an owner / chef) I like it if they recognise my loyalty with a free coffee or by waiving the corkage charge for example.
But putting my 'marketing hat' on, I understand why retailers may wish to entice new customers with special offers, loss leaders, cheap trials etc.
