Why Are some Members Able to Post More Deals than Others?

Feedback

Hi Tom Kelsey

I was just observing, & saw that someone has posted 30 deals today 😱

I just wanted to know, are there certain users who have exclusions?

Also, my intention is not to be rude at all, but it’s just some feedback for the site- I know it may be a well known user, however it’s sometimes hard to notice others posts, because those 30 are taking over a few pages in ‘newest’

Also, I have seen that they are not really major deals, & just a few £’s off, but more and more deals are being posted by the user. I thought it was about quality not quantity- hence why there is a daily limit of 10? 🤔 It seems that this is being abused as I as a new user feel like 30 posts in one day from one person is a tad too much because then not everyone else gets a fair chance to get theirs out there.

Hey jayy, lizzie95xx, new members are limited to a certain number of posts per day.

If you're a regular contributor and have been with us for a while, you're more than welcome to ask for your limit to be lifted. Just ask here in Chat (be sure to tag me @ tom) or Contact Us.

An increased deal posting limit does not affect points. If your deal posting limit is lifted, it'll be for the joy of posting deals.

I hope this helps explain, and I've also sent you jayy an email with some extra details. If you have any questions please do just ask.

Tom

30? I am sure even someone share that many deals, their points will not go up further.

AgnesFaludi - Oh no I am not concerned about points at all. Points / Prizes is a brucey bonus! I was just following this post as I had seen people posting more and wondered if it was just me who had limits 🙂

It wasn’t about points. I just saw alotttt of deals from someone, & was confused. And they weren’t wow deals but there was loads. So I thought I’d go on their page and count, and there was 30 deals in the space of a few hours. It should be quality over quantity, it looks like some people are just posting loads of deals for the sake of it

I used to post a lot of gaming deals in the past but now it's somewhat hard. Taking a look at prices personally aren't really that appealing to me so I'd not do it just for the sake of it.

Like the good ol' saying goes:

Don't do unto others what you don't want done unto you.

Its difficult to quantify what is a wow deal - and often the smaller deals, if they come at the right time can be good deals for some of us. If its something you need at that time, even a fiver off can be really useful even if its not earth shatteringly good. The beauty of this place is that really good deals get the attention they deserve, but there is something for everyone, even if you have to spend a few minutes to wade through them.

It also really depends on what your need it. What is a great deal to one person may not be to another. I try to post things that are useful or fun.

I also agree. I personally post lots of fashion and beauty products deal, which I am wowed with but some might find it completely useless. Although I do hope some might get excited about them as much as I do 😜
