A 4 Year Old on the Roof of the Car!

News

A mother has been quizzed by police after footage emerged of a child being driven around a street in Australia clinging to a car's roof rack.

The car was filmed driving through the streets of Perth for more than 15 minutes with the boy clinging to the bars on the roof.

In the clip the child is wearing only a nappy.

The woman was eventually pulled over by police. It was reported she was unaware the child was on the roof.

However witnesses claimed they have seen the mother letting the child ride on the car's roof previously and that "he likes it."

One apparent witness wrote on social media: "Bystanders have waved the mother down previously… her comment is that ‘he likes it'."

Another added: "She knew he was up there as they've done it plenty of times and been caught before."

Police said there were two children inside the car and the four-year-old boy was unrestrained.

The woman, 36, is said to be facing possible jail time.

Why are there so many 'strange' parents/people around these days.

Do they think that this type of behaviour is normal.

How did the mother find out that 'he likes it' in the first place?

Your last 3 lines says it all tumblespots. I believe there are 2 types of 'strange' people around. Those who do/act/say something abnormal and weird just to push buttons and get their 5 minutes of fame and those who, quite frankly, have their brain wired wrongly. I suppose there is a third group; those who have been raised by weirdos and therefore nurture takes over from nature, the latter may have prevailed with a 'normal' upbringing.

I personally believe we have become far too lenient and as a society accept too much instead of telling people their behaviour is unacceptable. Here in the UK this woman would probably be cautioned and allowed home!
