Abroad Verses Staycation This Summer?
Ask a Question
Now that we're slowly coming out of Covid. Have you started thinking about your summer holidays and where will you choose? Will you stay in the UK or are you desperate to board a plane and choose somewhere exotic? Me personally, I'm off to Benidorm
Keen to go abroad but a holiday is time to relax and forget about everything and not 100% sure I am ready for that, well abroad anyway.
We have been doing staycation trips to places we have never been.
The UK is great really!!
We're planning on staying in the UK as our kids are young and I cannot be bothered with the chaos if it all goes wrong. I think if it were just me and the OH though I'd be gone as soon as possible
I actually never visited the rest of U.K. aside from the big cities, so I'm considering it since the brilliant news of Boris bringing back freedom and liberty than creating medical segregation/tyranny.
U.K. now looks as one of the best Western countries out there.
As much as we want to travel abroad, we will probably stay in the UK this summer (staycation). Might not even consider flying until the restrictions ease or everything is getting to a comfortable level.
Depends on whats happening towards the summer but would love to go abroad, paid well over the odds last year for a pretty miserable caravan holiday last year in East Sussex, and to top it off the weather wasn't great either.
The big issue with overseas travel is that you still have no guarantee that you will be able to go - but I guess you just need to make sure your insurance will cover any last minute cancellation. Just because Boris as decided its all over does not mean other countries feel the same. As his own political survival is more a factor in easing restrictions that actual science, then it looks like you will be free to travel in the UK this year so that should be easier.
