Adult Easter Eggs

Ask a Question

In recent years there appears to be more and more Easter Eggs aimed at an older more sophisticated palette e.g After Eight Mint Dark Chocolate Easter Egg, Ferrero Collection Milk Chocolate Egg & Green & Black's Dark Chocolate Large Shell Egg

Is it because we are still buying these for our grown up children, I know I buy one for my son who is 24 or is there a move towards not being left out

I think maybe it's so that there's something for everyone. There's a good selection of Easter stuff aimed at younger children, so it makes sense to have a good selection aimed at adults too.

There has been a market for more adult orientated Easter Eggs for quite a while. Most of the artisan chocolate shops will sell them. With prices and flavours that make them more suitable for adults. Although, they tend to start selling their eggs closer to Easter, as they usually have a shorter shelf life.

To be honest, I think that gearing Easter eggs towards adults kind of spoils the fun. Easter is supposed to be light and fresh and playful. What's wrong with being a big kid for one weekend a year?

Went out with an American lass many moons ago . No idea if its still the same now but back then she hadn't heard of Easter eggs 😲. Considering all the excuses to spend money that we have imported from the USA that struck me as strange that they hadn't imported one from us ?
