Advantage Cards

Ask a Question

Just wondering what are everyone's opinions and thoughts on store advantage cards and what stores do you have advantage cards for and are they really worth getting in the first place

I think one of the best advantage cards is Boots - you get 4 points per £1 spent, compared to 1 point per £1 at superdrug.. they do so many offers for 200 points when you spend £10 on skincare etc, which quickly makes them add up! Ive probably had around £400 worth of points to spend since i got a boots card 4 years ago..

Worth telling older relatives that if they are over 60 with a Boots Advantage Card, Boots ups their rewards when they shop, giving them a fantastic 10 points for every £1 they spend on Boots branded products (rather than the normal 4 points).

I also think the Boots card is the best for points - they add up quickly and there are offers if you have the app, sometimes adding hundreds of points on your next purchase.

I have Boots card but don't tend to use Boots much at all now since Superdrug launched theirs, which is cheaper and you can use points and cash to pay. Tesco i find useful as I spend the points on travel as they are worth 3x as much

I do think it's a good idea, but there are just so many now that it's impossible to have one for all the stores I shop at. I do appreciate a lot of them doing apps now, but equally that fills up the phone!

I used to think Boots was good and the points add up quickly but then i moved and stopped going as it wasn't on my way to work so i never thought to go. Most things are cheaper in superdrug or supermarkets so i wouldn't go out of my way to go there now. Yes the points add up quickly, but i'd rather pay less for the items in the first pace.
