What Advents Calendars Do You Have / Are Going to Get?

Ask a Question

So far I've got a Gin Advent calendar and a Nespresso one.

And 2 years ago I had a fab candle one from NEXT and I got another 2 in the post-Christmas sale, had one last year and one is sitting in our Xmas cupboard all ready for this year.

This one. I am a sucker for the 3D free-standing traditional ones. Expensive though.

I'm undecided, bit early for me to buy one just yet. A candle one sounds great, I love candles.

martina65 Go for it. The difficult bit has been getting enough boxes to put everything in and then fitting it all in a large box, bit like a 3D puzzle. Pictures when I get it all done šŸ™‚

I feel like the new type of advent calendars are not chocolate related, more beauty and make up

Yes, and they're all based on "the 12 days of Christmas" as well which are *after* Christmas ... I don't understand that, when are you meant to open it??

I was going to treat myself to a make up / beauty calendar this year but Iv not been impressed with any I have looked at tbh. I'd rather just buy a few items I know I'd like to try instead. I saw Tesco have a scratch card advent for Ā£5, think il probably get 3 as a gift for my sons & OH.

I never buy an Advent calendar for myself, I don't drink, I don't wear make up and I'm not allowed candles in the house, so an advent calendar for me would be a waste of money. I will buy one for my son this year, nothing fancy as he is only 2, but he will love a chocolate one.

I always buy a traditional chocolate advent calendar for my daughter and her partner but I would never buy one for myself. Iā€™m not averse to winning one, however!

We have an advent calendar that my mum made about 20 years ago, it has little pockets that you can fill - one tub of celebrations usually fills it for 2-3 people šŸ˜Š Image

That's the best way to do it, I reckon ... unique and special ... and you know the quality! ... and recycled too! Love it! .... and it doesn't have to be a family heirloom DIY job either... there are ideas online for making your own.

I got my son a Pringles one (Groupon) & have made up a whisky advent calendar for my husband as they were too expensive to buy. Plus I got the deal for a Degusta Advent calendar for me but it hasn't arrived yet & jewellery ones for my nieces, another deal from this site.

We have 24 drawstring bags with numbers on. I save bits and pieces during the year to fill them. Freebies help greatly. When the kids were small it was easier and cheaper, but now it's tradition....I love it

I had been considering the stokes sauces advent calendar, but am still unsure whether to go ahead. Has anyone else tried it?
