What Advice Would You Offer to Your Younger Self?
Ask a Question
Curious if you could what advice would you give your 18yr old self?
Mine would be two fold- got to university and live in the moment. looking back I realise ive spent the last 20 years always planning the future and have missed out on opportunities that cropped up in the here and now. So what advice would you give your younger self?
this is so very true and we never really grasp that when a bit less life travelled- or i didnt!
Mine would be - Be yourself and dont change who you are to try and fit it or be the same as everyone else.
its a great bit advice- however im human marmite and couldnt change even if I wanted to, im just not a good blender-inner and trying makes it worse so now I just smile along with the world
OneeyedRaven im not a blender inner either. But i went through a few years of struggling to be something i wasnt to try to blend in and be the same as most. Would of been happier just being myself to start with
yes totally agree- support not thwart is my personal mantra. When did tearing people down become a public sport- and I am not meaning media or celebs just normal people trying to get through life. Think we can do better as a species- else we deserve to die out lol
Dont give a crap what people think about you . know your worth and rock it . believe in you andx dont let ANYONE tell you you cant !
currently struggling with this so thank you for the reminder self belief is so healthy and will serve you well
WOW everyone thanks for all the great advice shares this is really inspiring what a lovely community we have at LD
Try anything that you want to, you may get things wrong and make a fool of yourself, but you learn by your mistakes and looking back (hopefully) you will have a laugh over what you did. If you don't make any mistakes how will you learn? Mistakes teach us more than getting things right first time....
