What Do You like about Aldi?

Ask a Question

Hey! You helped me so much with your answers at Asda’s Chat and Morrisons’ Chat, that I am back for more!

I would love to know what you like about Aldi? Do you do your groceries in-store or online? Let me know about your shopping experience with Aldi!

p.s. This is for a money-saving guide I'm writing on a new area of the Latest Deals website! Any help would be much appreciated!

With your help, I already wrote a guide on How to save money at Asda (https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/guides/household-bills/how-to-save-money-at-asda) and another guide on How to save money at Morrisons (https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/guides/household-bills/how-to-save-money-at-morrisons)!

I would love if you could also leave a comment in both! 😄

We like Aldi fresh meats, do most of my shopping in there. Always find extra goodies in the baskets too 🤩

I love Aldi! The products are amazing and they are such a good price. Their own brand items are fabulous and give big brands a run for their money. The only things I don't buy from Aldi is pizza because my husband is ridiculously fussy and nappy pants because they constantly leaked, despite him only having it on for an hour.

I love everything about it, especially the surprises you find in the middle aisle. The stores are always clean and tidy, staff are friendly and you can get everything you need.

That's good to know! Which Aldi do you usually go and what time? I am sorry to hear about the nappy! I am fussy about pizzas as well 😄! Thank you so much for your comment!

tamirescriscio our nearest one is in Musselburgh (Scotland) and I normally go in the mornings between half 10 and 11am. It is the only product I've ever been disappointed with but I have plenty of friends that swear by them. They were good when he was little but not now he is a toddler. We have tried so many different pizzas trying to find the best one!

I've never shopped at Aldi as there isn't one local to me, but there will be in a month or two as we have one opening up on our high street. I'll look forward to reading your guide and the comments here, as Aldi could be a regular place for me to shop in the future.

Omgg!!! This is so nice! Thank you for letting me know about this. I will be really happy if my guide can help you even if it's just a little bit! I hope you make the most of Aldi! Good times are coming! 😄

Has to be the continental meats along with the selection of quality cheese. It's so much cheaper than the main supermarkets.

Quite a good choice of wine at a reasonable price too.

Fruit and veg can be hit and miss.

Nice why to describe it. I also feel cheerful at Aldi, it's kind of what I am going to find today? What do you feel cheerful about there? 😄 We need more cheerful moments in our lives at the moment, right? Thank you so much for your comment!

Cheap and cheerful. Aldi products are generally of good quality. However, whilst many Aldi products are cheaper than elsewhere, this isn't always the case.

Oh, and it also has LD in it. ALDI. 😀 😆

RSRSRSRSRSRS, maybe it's not a coincidence, we will need to ask Tom! Which products you find more expensive there? Thank you so much!

tamirescriscio Coffee. The cheapest one in Sainsbury's (now discontinued) was cheaper than the cheapest one in Aldi. Whilst I don't drink coffee myself, the cheapest Sainsbury's one was apparently really nice.

I love Aldi’s own brand Lacura, as all of their Lacura products are cruelty free! 🙂 I have used many of these and not only are they a great price but also great quality. They have Lacura biodegradable face wipes that are only 49p but cruelty free and biodegradable 🙂

I love Aldi’s prices and seasonal selection, particularly during the Xmas period (their chocolates are well packaged and look premium). They have a good variety of alcohol too. And the checkout staff are fast - some hate it, but I love keeping to that speedy pace

How good is Aldi's chocolate? I was thinking about chocolate prices the other day, as I tend to go to healthier side. The 70% and up ones are usually £1,50, which I do find kind of pricey. I would rather pay £1, like the other bars. Which chocolate do you usually buy? Even at Aldi, the 70% ones are £1,49 (same as Lidl).

tamirescriscio I think as they sell fair trade chocolate, you pay for that. Their seasonal chocolate, like their truffles, are a dupe of what they sell at M&S for 2 thirds of the price. And anything packaged in the fortnum and mason blue tastes good

I love aldi. I do need to go to Tesco to get a few bits I can’t get in there but always go to aldi first, I find the fruit and veg last longer

Really nice. I am researching about Tesco! A new guide about Tesco is on the making as well! I love that we can go to multiple supermarkets and make the most of which of them! Thank you so much! 🙂
