I certainly don't know any men who have periods so do you think this is really taking PC too far.

Wow, I definitely think it's PC going too far. I agree with you they are ultimately a product for women. How can that offend anyone? Strangely at 55 after many years of buying such products I have never even noticed the Venus sign (more interested in price, etc than packaging). Are people nowadays on the look out for anything that can be used to take offence at?

Yes, I think you've hit the nail on the head, someone is searching for things to shout about. Like you I hadn't noticed the sign as I was also far more interested in the price, it really adds up over the years. 🐞

I can honestly say I have never noticed the sign on the packaging. I always look for the best price and pack size.

I think it will be to do with transgender men, as there will still be transgender men who have periods but they don't see themselves as female anymore.

Are transgenders really going to have periods? If not then they still don't need tampax or sanitary towels?! And, if they do then surely they are 'women' now so should be glad that the sign is there! 🐞

tumblespots there will be some who have not had the full surgery and have perhaps only just started hormone treatment so they haven't affected their periods yet. I'm talking about women who are transitioning to become men and therefore may still have female reproductive systems, not the other way round as men transitioning to women wouldn't need pads or tampons, which is why the sign would be taken away.

lucyeva72 tumblespots has misunderstood my point, which I have explained below.

MrsCraig Whichever way it is you are a man to a certain point and then a women at a certain point. Periods have always been a female occurrence and wherever you are in transition women are the ones who have periods. 🐞

tumblespots I am not disputing that it is women who have periods, I'm merely stating that this might be the reason why they are removing the sign.

These companies try so hard to be inclusive, diverse, and LGBTTIQQ2SA (that is an actual acronym, not making it up) but they always end up on failing to actually include people in their inclusive and diverse program.

Well, you know, just expect more "inclusivity" like this as it's gonna happen. Heck, they [gay, lesbians, etc] have been trying to get movies and shows banned because it's offensive to them somehow.

I find some shows offensive, can't remember which at the moment, but you turn over or switch off you don't tell everyone else they can't watch it.

Taking of show being banned I was disgusted yesterday when watching a show doing a countdown of Christmas songs and they left gaps/blank spaces in the words of the Fairytale of New York song, I'd much rather they missed the song off than left you wondering what just happened and why you couldn't hear the words. Totally ridiculous!

Regardless of how much one agrees with "equality" no one can change biology.

You are either a male or a female. Nothing else.
