Amazed That so Many Share Competitions

Latest Deals

As we only get 1p for sharing and the post is a lot more complex with more fields to fill in....and then of course the more people that enter everyones chance of winning goes down....is everyone just very kind on here?

I like sharing competitions, and I appreciate others sharing theirs, as I may not have come across them otherwise. I enter loads of competitions and think it's nice to be able to tell others about them.

Think about it , Competitions are just email harvesting at the end of the day . Good luck to those who enter , but not for me thanks .

This is one of the problems, which is easily solved by creating an email account for competitions only.

This is why I prefer to post only Instagram competitions. You don’t get any pesky emails and depending on the page’s traffic, not as many people actually enter them as you might think.

flipside I enter very few competitions via social media. I'd rather have an email just for competitions than use my personal social media profiles to share company posts all the time.

If I come across a competition I always share it even if it’s not something I would be interested in it could be of interest for someone els.

I haven't noticed but then I rarely enter competitions. Instead spend the time doing surveys

It isn't about the money! Although this is a deal site many folk are avid compers and like to enter them as a hobby, hopefully with occasional wins. I don't think anyone posts comps for the points, 30 a day is nothing. We do it to share as Hayley below has said. There is no way I would find all these comps without everyone's help.

I'm really grateful to everyone who takes the time to find and share competitions. I would if I knew how to do it. I don't know how to paste and copy if that's what you have to do. So thank you to everyone.

sueharris16 took me years to master even that, it's a bit easier on a tablet if you can just get the hang of it ,try this

How to copy and paste text

Find the text you want to copy and paste.

Tap and hold on the text.

Tap and drag the highlight handles to highlight all the text you want to copy and paste.

Tap Copy in the menu that appears.

Tap and hold in the space where you'd like to paste the text.

Tap Paste in the menu that appears.

I love posting comps and used to post more than I do now. But, if I posted everything I saw no-one else would have a chance to add much because with covid around I have felt that the number of comps has been drastically reduced - so I post less so that others can also have a chance to post. 🐞

I really appreciate the effort posters put in when they put up Competitions.

As already mentioned, finding the many competitions I enter every day by myself would take hours.

As someone who enters a lot of competitions for the fun of it, I am very grateful for everyone who does share the competitions they come across. At the end of the day the more you enter the more chances you have of actually winning something. The last couple of months I have won a £400 food mixer, Amazon Fire table, Amazon Echo, Alcohol free spirits, and quite a few amazon vouchers. its fun and occasional very rewarding.

Amazing how much time do you spend on it to so well? I always half thought that most are given to friends or these days " influencers"

Sarahvwomble At the moment I am spending about 1-2 hours a day - mainly as I have ramped up my entries as we approach Christmas and also working from home has saved me at least an hour a day traveling time. It helps being super organised - I can get in aprox 450 entries in an hour...

didbygraham seven and a half a minute ...if my maths is anywhere near! That's a great rate, good luck to you , wish could get ten per cent of that!

didbygraham I am sorry but even with auto fill that would be impossible unless every single comp required only an email and then submit! Most require your life story and to answer a question. Your figures would mean one every 8 seconds which you may be able to do for a few minutes but not consistently for 1 hour.

Lynibis a lot of the comps I enter are indeed just that. there are lots of DMRI group comps with various magazines which require selecting an answer and then hitting submit. Likewise the WINIT comps which once you are registered on the various magazine web sites are pre populated - just hit ok and the entry goes through on a couple of clicks. They sometimes run the same comps over 100 sites at the same time. I have all the links in a spreadsheet and open 25 links at a time and work through them all. the 450 in hour is probably the top end but this evening I have managed 350 in the last hour. The PMP sites are also good as I have 175 active links at the moment and they are extremely quick to enter.

didbygraham I gave up on those daily comps ages ago like yours, closeronline etc. If you haven't got the time to enter daily or even hourly you are already at a disadvantage. I do several of the magazine ones in the evening watching tv.

Seems I made the right choice if there are too many like you as I stand even less of a chance lol.

Lynibis If I hadn't already won several decent prizes from theses sites then I wouldn't bother (includes a 2 week holiday to Costa Rica for my wife, wine hampers and computer tablets to name but a few). I am very selective on the Winit sites - pick those with really good prizes and then enter all the sites - and I ignore the hourly entry ones too!

I’m intending to enter more competitions if I end up getting furloughed this month. I never have the time normally. I never win a lot, but I often win a little - and you have to be in it to win it, as they say. 🤷‍♀️

I’m also grateful for others posting what I don’t have time to look for. I do the same if I find anything.

I simply choose not to post the competitions I actively enter. In fact, I don’t enter as many competitions lately because I find them to be a waste of time.
