Amazing, Surgeons Remove Inoperable Brain Tumour through the Eye

In the News

Medicine is advancing so fast now

Surgeons managed to remove a previously inoperable tumour from this nurses brain by using key hole surgery through her eye socket, a UK first

To do this previously they would have needed to cut away her skull and removed the brain to access the tumour, which in itself was high risk and dangerous

With this latest technique all that she had left to show for the operation was a small scar next to the eye

This gives so much hope to others in a similar situation , well done to those surgeons

I saw this and was so pleased for the woman. I have hypothyroidism. When I was first diagnosed in my late teens they wanted to cut my throat with a knife! Now they use laser surgery which is considerably better methinks.
