Amazon Deals Go up in Price

Has anyone else noticed that after posting some Amazon deals here they go up in price by a few pounds? It's still on sale but the deal isn't as good anymore... I suppose its because of all the traffic to that item?.. But still I dont think it's fair.
They have some system to control both how much work their warehouse packers have and how fast stock is being depleted before restocking so if a product is being sold too quickly price goes up or packers are overworked a lot of prices go up to lower the amount of work. It controls the number of orders so customers are more satisfied and not kept waiting for their items. It's quite clever but it does mean when lots of people are going to buy the same item as you the price will increase. Saying that they have a policy of not allowing competitors to do well with their price promotions so if lets say Currys is doing an offer, Amazon will match it for the time period that Currys does. Personally I use the free delivery option and don't have prime so find Amazon very slow for delivering as I'm being punished for not choosing their premium delivery services. I've waited 3 weeks for stuff at times despite the product being in stock but normally my deliveries are moved forward but its quite random which orders get that.
There was a documentary about how Amazon aggressively destroys its competitors and makes it difficult for marketplace sellers to make a profit. The documentary was mainly about book sales but it applies to all products really.
BonzoBanana I do have prime. But then again if you only buy an item every so often it's not worth it. I been shopping with them a lot recently especially for some baby stuff since the shops were closed. What i do like about it is that i can select free collection from Hermes for refunds I just need to printout a label. That's interesting because I bought tefal multi cooker from currys and it was cheaper there than Amazon...

Can be quiet annoying at times. I added a sun lotion to my basket last week and 10 minutes later when I went to check out the price had increased by £2.50. I dont have prime delivery but 9 times out of 10 my orders are here before the estimated delivery date. And I received a free 9 pack of water wipes costing £20 this week so I was delighted.
Yes, I notice this. That's why I use Keepa to track prices. Allows me to see if I am paying too much for something.

Tom thank you I will have a read. I also noticed that if I got something saved for few weeks before I buy price sometimes goes up/down and I get constant notifications about it.
