Amazon Deals - Think Again
Money Saving
Before you take advantage of what look like cracking Amazon deals on things that are widely available in supermarkets I’d recommend just checking on here using the Supermarket Comparison Tool. I’ve found even better money saving offers. What have you found?
I constantly point this out on Amazon deals and all I get back is "but it's free delivery with Prime". That's great if you pay £7.99 a month for Prime but I don't.
Dennab I could never understand what is so particularly special about Prime. Ok, you may get free delivery but Prime is as you say £7.99 a month. So you are still essentially paying whether you have Prime or not. Nothing is free.
RegularComper90 That's exactly it. I've needed precisely nothing from Amazon for months. Honestly when I signed up to a Prime trial for a month (one of many), I suddenly needed everything. It's addictive when you have it. That trial is a gateway drug! People will argue until they're blue in the face that they are saving money but many are just taken in by that extremely clever marketing tactic. Jeff Bezos is a retail genius and doesn't make $150,000 a minute from people who are just buying what they need and saving money.
I have prime but still look around. I've been buying a lot from ebay at the minute as the prices are cheapest for what I've wanted
To do a price comparison you can also type the product description into the Latest Deals search box and it'll do a price comparison for you, showing you the price at other retailers (on my laptop anyway, I'll have to check my phone). Also try typing the product description into Google, and see what the price is elsewhere. If you then click the 'Images' button on Google you'll often get even more results with prices. Handy.
Hey Johnny this is fab info and something I didn't know about definitely going to give this a whirl nice to be in the know thanks for sharing
