Amazon Package Didn't Arrive

Other

I bought 4 items from Amazon. 1 arrived yesterday. 1 item is due the end of September. The other two didn't show up. Amazon said they are very sorry and that a problem occurred during the shipping and so they will refund me after 5-7 business days once the return has processed.

Now I'm not sure how or if at all Amazon will refund me 🥴, as I "paid" for the items with a gift card.

Overall my experience with Amazon has been very good. It's just a shame I didn't receive my items on the occasion I used a gift card! But luckily they weren't expensive stuff. It was a £5 voucher and the items which didn't show up were some soap pads and chocolate, both coming to £1.45 so I won't be too sad about the 🍫

I've had a refund from a gift voucher before, you will get it refunded into your account as a gift voucher.

The one bad thing is Amazon have been doing a lot of £5 off coupons recently so if you buy lets say £20 of goods supplied by Amazon (not marketplace or warehouse) you get £5 off but if they can't supply the item, lets say it was £5x4 and they reduced each item to £3.75 effectively and they can't supply it you get refunded £3.75 only so your coupon value is diminished through no fault of your own. So its pretty important not to order out of stock items when you have a coupon as likely they will just cancel that item anyway and you have wasted some of the coupon value.

Same with the recent £6 off coupon if you buy £60 of giftcards you have to make sure you use that £6 off carefully as Amazon won't give you back the value of the coupon if they can't supply the goods.
