Amazon Returnless Refund
Other
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. I bought 4 tshirts from Amazon Prime, one had a misprint and one wasn't very good quality so I wanted to return both. Amazon only gave me the option for returnless refunds and are processing the refund without me needing to return them at all. They're quite low value so I'm guessing it's not worth it for them, I've just never seen it before.
When it's low value they'd rather save on shipping. I once had a book that arrived with damage on the spine and I had the option to get a free replacement or refund. I went with the replacement.
My other half must of had about £120 worth of stuff from Amazon for around £30 doing that over the past year. It was all genuine complaints about items that were either bad quality or damaged in the post. Couple that with the fact that we have never handed over a penny for delivery or Prime, we're winning. Here's my medal -
I’ve just had a refund on a pool cover. Wanted to return it as the pool didn’t arrive! Amazon don’t want it back. One for EBay I think!
gerrykelly25 You could really take the pee by setting up an Amazon third party seller account and sticking it on their site for sale.
I hardly ever return things to amazon so didn't realise they did this. I did always think that they must make a loss on some items.
You win some you lose some. They let me keep a phone I wanted to return as it was very slow. They left me keep it which was very strange as it was a £200 phone.
By contrast this morning I contacted them as I had a water flosser last October that stopped charging. Value was less than £27 when I bought it and now they are selling them for less than £20 and I just wanted a replacement. They are sending someone to pick up a well used water flosser tomorrow. I hope they aren't going to attempt to sell it as used!
gerrykelly25 I know that was my first thought. Really just gross. I mean with the current Pandemic I dread to think of the germs sending something like that and then someone having to touch it, though I have not had Coronavirus.
