How do You Manage Anxiety?

Do you have anxiety if yes how do you keep it under control?
I normally try to learn about the subjects which make me anxious and that helps me. And before meeting someone new I make lots of conversations in my head, so far these two things are helping me.
I also feel sensory toys a bit helpful I have huge collection now I think nearly 100 different pieces now and I feel much better now then before.
Share your experience please?
If a certain situation feels like it could make me anxious I try and break it down into manageable parts.
Going on holiday and all that entails could cause anxiety - so I break it into single situations (getting to the airport, checking in and going through security, boarding, transfers when you get off the plane etc)
Lumped together these would make most people anxious.
How do you feel when you get anxious? I sometimes feel I can't breath I am good to control myself but these few seconds are horrible

blacklabrador oh bless, have you tried any sensory toys ever? I started recently and I feel the difference, I am improving.
I suffer greatly with anxiety amongst other conditions, for me I can't control it much, I try to have plans of action and I use medication to try to ease anxiety attacks.
Problem I find is it isn't always easy to know when my anxiety if flaring so struggle to take medication when appropriate.
Oh bless I can relate my mother had this issue, I have anxiety too but I am not on any med. My mother's whole family has it especially when they meet new people.
I have anxiety its has gone better but I still can't go to new places on my own when someone is with me im ok
