Anxious about Time
Ask a Question
Over recent years I’ve found my self stressing about how much time I don’t have. I stress when I don’t relax and get anxious about wasting time. What’s wrong with me, is this an age thing. Im only 40!
I find planning my time helps - scheduling important things in my calendar and also scheduling a follow up to remind me to check it's done. Try planning out your day and setting a certain time to relax and see if that helps knowing you have got the time to do the things you need.
I think what MumOfThree has suggested us a brilliant idea. A time schedule where relaxation is fitted in. Nothing beats ticking things off a list as you go through them. Also, maybe read a little bit about mindfulness and living kindness so that you begin to recognise and accept more that time for you is essential to enable you to fulfil your other roles and not selfish as we all too often feel.
I really do need to set aside me time. I do however feel guilty for some ridiculous reason. I have a role of mum and I really love it. Best decision I’ve ever made, but I need to recharge and refresh. So I will plan ... to plan , me time
LenoirLenoir please try to read about loving kindness too (not living!) It really helps with those horrible feelings if guilt when we take time for ourselves.
