You need to be careful doing this as it is against amazon's guidelines and you can be banned for doing it.

Mctash yes for real. I don't know the exact reasons, just know it is against the guidelines.

It isn't that they don't want the products they sell to be reviewed and have ratings. Doing this isn't the same as getting a free product trial. It is because you are essentially being paid to review them and it has been known for the companies that do this to only allow good reviews to be approved so it isn't an accurate representation of the product.

MrsCraig It definitely leads to fake reviews for some shoddy products - the tester has to give a 5* rating to get the product free. This bumps the sellers' reputations up to 'believable'. As you say, it's best to avoid.

sunny101 absolutely. I do read reviews on amazon before I buy things but I'm always wary of the ones that talk about how it's the best product they have ever bought etc

Mctash just don't review anymore of the products on that Instagram page and you will be fine. Nothing exciting planned, just house work and our daily walk

MrsCraig Amazon reviews are like Tripadvisor reviews on holiday accommodation , you have to take an overview of many of them and then use your noddle to decide which ones you believe . 🙄

To a certain degree, we all judge with the help of reviews so the less tampered with the better. I tend to use this link when I have doubts. There are obvious warning signs but a little extra help never hurts.
