Anyone Booked a Holiday

Ask a Question

I am thinking about booking a holiday now that we are able to travel. But I don’t want to go aboard. Anyone got some good suggests for good places to go with kids (aged 6, 6 and 9)?

Not yet, but I'm waiting for the official green light to catch a Eurostar to France. Maybe a day out to Paris, or a few days in the French countryside.

I'm watching and waiting to see if there are any spikes now due to travel starting up again.

If it all seems fairly calm and safe I may look at a little city break before Christmas, somewhere with a nice Christmas Market or two.

No...there is likely that we will have a second wave of the virus and because of the first lock down we could not go to our planned holiday in April.

I had booked to go to Turkey in may for three weeks, obviously it was cancelled. I got a full refund from TUI a couple of weeks ago. I'm not going to bother booking again until next year.

We are most probably doing days out with overnight stays. You can get really cheap family rooms in travelodge and premier inn and will book tickets for things like Twycross Zoo, West Midlands safari park and Drayton manor / Thomas land in advance. Did it a few years ago and got some great prices and kids loved it. Mine will be 7 and 2. Maybe see if you can get cheap Legoland tickets if they are into that?

Not going to book until things are much safer, personally don’t feel that it’s worth the risk both in terms of health (which is most important) and, secondly, possible financial loss (I know many people who had to cancel holidays but couldn’t get the money back so same could happen if it’s not safe to travel)

No we're not. We'll save the mobey and do a bigger holiday next year or whenever it's safe and not stressful again.

Had our holidays in California cancelled and 3 months on and still no refund , very frustrating how long companies take to refund the money but taking money is within seconds . Also Disneyland tickets were refused to be refunded , and they are not cheap so fighting for my money right now .Won’t be rebooking as US is very bad so first waiting to see maybe next year , otherwise beginning of next year in hot country .

loveglitches I hope he doesn't get another term. I thought at first he might actually be good when he wanted to create more jobs for people, but how he has been able to keep his job since is a joke. Better chance of having Kanye West as Presidant
