I do this! I start in the January sales then continue all year till I pull it all out then boom.... I realise I’ve bought not only way to much but doublers and everything. I should try be more organised and write down every purchase to try and prevent it but my super unorganised life pushes for me to just dump it all in a big cupboard and leave for months 🙈😂

We used to but apart from a few bits and pieces now, no longer bother, as we found by the time we got to Christmas we had twice as much as we intended to get, so didn't really save much.

Also in recent years, you get the black Friday deals end of November and most of the shops have been reducing like mad in the weeks before Christmas anyway so plenty of good deals to be had.

But each to their own if it works for you then go for it.

If it was something that I knew the person would like and it was a bargain then yes I do buy them early as long as I can afford to.

I’m the same. I Buy all year round, if I spot something in offer that I know a person will like I will buy it and extra bits and bobs for donations. I think it’s worth doing instead of struggling at Christmas. Always a good idea to write down what you got and who it’s for cos by time its Christmas youd have forgotten like I did last year haha!

chelseaturpin please stop bringing year old chats to front you could have easily created a similar topic so annoying as new chats are getting pushed down

But then you would winge at me for creating a new topic. So no i wont if i want to comment on something then i will not gunna bother creating a new chat for the same topic for people to start crying at me for it.

angemski I don't see the point on creating a new chat for mothers day when there is already a chat. I'll have people reporting me for creating a dublicate, then i'll have Tom or someone on here telling to search chat before creating a new one of the same topic.

chelseaturpin To be honest this thread was a year old and can be created again (without any fear of complaint) but it's good to see how many people used to get involved.

angemski Trust me there are people who would complain though. I've had post removed and reported for even having maybe 1 or 2 words the same as another posts.

This really confused me when I saw the original date - bit late for an answer. Tom etc could 'chats' be made dormant after 6 - 9 months, with the exception of Winners success and Introduce yourself which could be refreshed after this time?

chelseaturpin Thought last year was 2019! 2 questions for you - Why are you opening old chats and why are you commenting on your posts with a fullstop? Points or to get to top of chat line?

lilyflower I dont see the point in creating a new chat on the same topic as ill get reported or told to search chat instead of being lazy. No one gets points on chats for just a full stop.

chelseaturpin so why do it?

lilyflower Because i want to discuss things and dont see the point in creating a new chat when there is a chat already there on that particular topic.

Yes, got a year's worth of birthday gifts in January sales. It's something my mother has always done as we struggled growing up so made every penny count
