Anyone Else Panic When They See Only 44 Days till Christmas!!!!
Other
Christmas seemed ages ago and I saw this morning in news it only 44 days away!!! Panic... I haven't got anything ready.
I'm not panicking. I've got all my son's presents, got my Mother in laws and grannys present, I know what I'm getting my parents and then I just need to get food. I've got our tree and decorations in the cupboard and just need to buy some Christmas cards. 44 days is plenty of time. I don't stress over Christmas
I haven’t got anything ready and I have not intentions of doing so. I am going to Lanzarote for most of December so next week I will write my Christmas cards put up a few lights and go away.
eyeballkerry sounds blissful. You are very lucky to be able to go for so long, such a pretty island.
Christmas is really what you make of it.
What does help is to start getting ready early in the year and build your way up.
No panic here. Iv completed my Christmas shopping already (except food). I'm very much looking forward to December now, my social calendar is full. I love the run up to Christmas.
I don't even panic on Christmas Eve - nothing to panic about. I came to an arrangement with all friends and family (over 30 years ago) that we don't buy each other presents at Christmas.
No I not panicking as am all done for Christmas, I have my sons ,dads, niece, and mother-in-laws birthday to sort now as there all in December
hell yea, it seems so little time to get everything thats needed but also i havent even started yet
wonderingsoul glad I'm not the only one! Feel like autumn has flown by and suddenly Xmas is here!
Not at all! Presents nearly done (just a few bits to get for my teenager, parents and nieces and nephew).
We are eating out this year, no need to worry about food. Decs I’ve had for years, not buying new ones.
January is difficult for us, we have mine, my mums and my sons birthday within 12 days of each other!
I enjoy Christmas when I've bought everything but I'm no where near yet I have a few presents my Turkey and baileys that's it. No chance of getting anything else till payday .
I am absolutely petrified of Christmas right now, it's the first year that I have not bought ONE SINGLE THING. I have so much to get ready and 5 birthdays that are coming up beforehand. I might go a little crazy soon but I'm trying to keep a level head and not go absolutely full panic mode
freebiesforbell oh my goodness, you need a shopping spree ASAP! Good luck what this all those birthdays too.
No panic here, I am cancelling Christmas. Will stay home alone with son's two dogs as he will be abroad and will not be buying for anyone other than kids and grandkids. Will make myself an ordinary Sunday roast (if I can be bothered) and find a good box set in between walking the dogs!
Grannyclock I certainly will. I have just started watching all the old Dexter boxsets but there are 8 seasons so should see me up to Christmas and then I can start on the new Dexter which I am currently recording.
Lynibis I’ve not heard of Dexter! I only have the usual tv channels. Is it on Netflix or something?
Grannyclock it is quite old, it ran from 2006 to 2013 and was really popular just on ordinary tv but can't remember the channel. It was about a serial killer who only killed the bad guys lol. Sounds naff but was gripping.
Anyway, they have just brought it back on Sky Atlantic and it is set 10 years later. It is well worth a watch if you can bear a bit of gore as the story behind it all is very good.
Not panicked at all this year, all presents bought just a few left to wrap and even have a turkey in the freezer. Well prepared this year
I'm panicking I have a house to sort out, it's a hoarders house and I have to get wron room ready for the next week, and hopefully the rest of the house for Christmas, please wish me luck, it's took years to get this bad and I have a month to clear it. Will I do it? I really don't know.
CaroleBallard good luck hope you get everything done. You can always ask family and friends to help. Best wishes to you I'll be thinking of you
No, as there are always things to buy. And a lot of the time you find better deals nearer the time…and if you arrange to meet people after Xmas day, you can get their prezzies at a discounted rate
No not really i think i am fairly sorted but i have had a few decades of planning experience plus i am a list writer old fashion pen and paper i find it quicker and easier than using technology. It probably an age thing.
SharonBardell can't beat a good list! Nothi g like the satisfaction of marking the final thing off one!
I buy my gifts through out the year to spread the cost, but to be honest you have plenty of time and can pick up some great bargins. You can do it in one afternoon.
beccatavender true I probably could do it in an afternoon, if had a whole one. Single parent to 3 little ones/working full time = I get 2 hours a week child/work free!
I'd forgotten the lack of free time when you have young children, even the weekend's are about their activities. My only child is 24, but saying that you can get most things online. Once you know what they want half the battle is over @vixe80
