Anyone ever had any luck with GameSeek 'Cyclonic Deals'? Or are they a con?

I didn't and while I posted this below on Trustpilot, GameSeek reported it without even leaving any feedback left for me to read. GameSeek is an OK retailer but stingy at times.
My now-removed Trustpilot of it:
So since I'm signed up for a few cyclonic deals on GameSeek's website and they seem really tempting I decided to give it a try. As such, when I received an alert I clicked straight away on it, added it then to the basket but then it said "all have been snapped up" or something.
Just in a matter of seconds it was gone? Really?
I mean, if Cyclonic Deals actually work for you (customers) then great but I was pretty disappointed, not so much not getting the game but that this feels like a con.
I have purchased plenty of games from Gameseek over the years as they are quite often cheaper than Amazon etc . I have not tried the cyclonic deals as to be honest I am not sure I understand how it works. Having said that I dont think I am alone as just this evening I get another email from them outlining a few changes they are making:
Since the launch of our Cyclonic Deals last month, thousands of customers have taken advantage of the lowest prices in the UK by far for some of the latest video games, toys and gadgets on sale today. During this time, we've been listening, watching and lurking and have identified some areas in which we can improve our deals, as we appreciate that it had the potential to be frustrating at times to get the deal you wanted. We humbly apologise to those who have experienced this first hand.
With that in mind, we are very pleased to bring you the new iteration of Cyclonic Deals - version 2 if you will. We've made improvements to clarity, notification, layout and availability of deals based on what you, our customers, have told us.
We'd like to take the opportunity to thank all who have given feedback on our Cyclonic Deals since it launched - we will endeavour to keep improving and continue to bring you the best products at the very best prices.

As well as squishing pesky bugs, some improvements have been made to enhance your shopping experience:
- Cyclonic emails being sent up to 1 hour before the deal goes live
- Navigation on how to find the deals has been massively improved, including left nav sortation
- Now listing deals in live order to make it easier for you
We have noticed that some products are in extreme demand compared to others; we are going to increase the amount of units we sell per deal on the items in high demand, but increase the amount of days for the cycle window. The days to the deal may be longer, but those that wait have a greater chance as there will be more stock available to purchase when the deal goes live. We thought this would improve the customer’s experience on our site when browsing our Cyclonic Deals. However please note; we only have a certain allocation of each line we can sell, we do hope you understand not everyone will get the items at such a low price!
