Is Anyone Going to Do Stoptober?

In the News

Give up alcohol for October. It's in aid of Macmillan cancer research. We have done it before, but if, as news stations are predicting, we're going to have another 2 week lockdown next month I don't think I'll cope without my wine and gin!!

I don't go for these monthly trend things. Just do what you want and when you want. 🙂 x

Sound advice. I tend to run away from mass gathering celebrations. However, I seem to be dressed like a pirate and it happens to be International Pirate Day today. Subliminal perhaps!!! Xx

Seems silly. Just don't drink, end of story.

Or do. Moderately.

That's what I think why should those who drink in moderation stop - if they want to support any charity there is no point in them stopping, they can just donate. If they can't affort to donate but can still afford to drink, perhaps they need to think carefully about how much they do drink.

I don't do any of these monthly trend things. I don't drink anyway so this wouldn't be a challenge for me. If I want to donate to charity then I do, I don't need these fancy monthly things to do it.

Honesty I don't think a lot of people take part in monthly challenges and especially not this one as people like a good drink. I don't drink alcohol personally so I don't need to take part. I like to support charities in other ways. I do hope some people benefit from slowing down drinking, it's better to drink moderately!
