Has Anyone Have Any Good Ideas for Storing DVDs?

Ask a Question

We have loads of dvd cases at our house and I wondered if anyone had a better way of storing DVDs so that they aren't taking up such a huge space in our living room? Any ideas gratefully received.

Back them up in a HDD. Probably a 5TB to 8TB HDD.

WD are supposedly better than Seagate.

I got myself one of those folders and took all the disks out, recycling all the actual cases. I hardly use the dvds anymore anyway. One day I will bin the lot.

Ahh that's such a good idea. It feels so sad that after spending all this money on them, they will soon has reached their day but this sounds like a great idea in the meantime. Thanks.

I have all of mine in a folder and send the ones that are good condition that I know i'll never watch again to the charity shop and the broken ones get binned.I only keep our favourites so only have around 40-50 dvds in the house as the kids have quite a lot disney films.I keep the cases on a shelf in my wardrobe.

Do you think you will ever use the cases again that you keep? I am unsure whether to keep them as I feel like I will never need them again but it feels wasteful to just get rid. What's your thought?

Bedside draw alphabetical order, stood on end, able to read titles as you look down on them, pack tight and they won't move,Lay a few on top, storing depends how many you have.

I lI've this idea, thanks so much for sharing. It would be great to have them in alphabetical order so we could just refer to them any time we wanted and know where they all were.

Either a flip folder (where you take the DVDs out their cases and store them all in one case) or a bookcase... I’ve got one from ikea, I think it’s Malm.. just a tall thin bookcase, almost goes to the ceiling but it’s narrow so is tucked in the corner..
