Has Anyone Grown San Marzano Tomatoes?
Ask a Question
This year I moved out of my comfort zone with tomato varieties and went with San Marzano. I love cooking and these are the dense elongated Italian sort that makes great sauces. I have a problem - the weather is letting me down and they are nowhere near ripe. This morning I covered a board with foil in the hope I could intensify the limited sun and give them a serious suntan. I would normally ripen some off in the windowsill but I don't know how these will react - will they just rot? Any advice would be appreciated.
