Has Anyone Started Wrapping Their Christmas Presents Yet?
Ask a Question
This weekend I've started to wrap up my Christmas presents, as this year I will need to post my gifts to my family in Wales. To ensure that they arrive in plenty of time I am planning to post them the 1st week of December. However my husband thinks it's much to early. When do you wrap your gifts?
I haven't started buying my Christmas presents yet, let alone wrapping them i should start getting around it soon really!
Since we've been in lockdown I have been doing a lot of online shopping out of boredom. So, if I see something in a deal I but it
I've been so busy with work I haven't even started my list. It's going to be a rush to get ideas, order and get it all delivered to my family members in time!
I haven’t yet, but I will do soon since I need to get some gifts posted to make sure they arrive in time for Christmas.
I've just started buying the Christmas presents so not ready to start wrapping just yet. But I will probably start a little earlier this year as I'll be sending more presents through the mail than I usually do.
Done and dusted. Finished about a week ago. I too tend to feel stressed by wrapping presents so prefer to get it done and then I can focus on more enjoyable parts of Christmas.
No. I would have to get the presents first. And sometimes I don’t even bother with wrapping to save paper
My husband didn't wrap my presents last Christmas and I know I was really annoyed as I had wrapped his, dispite having just come out of hospital with a Back operation. On Christmas Day both my husband and son had presents to open and I was given a plastic bag with unwrapped gifts in. It made me really special....NOT.
beccatavender I get annoyed at my husband wrapping my presents on Christmas Eve when we could be relaxing and spending time together - ive normally got them all wrapped at the start of December but he likes to leave it all til the last minute!
Whilst I have the majority of my gifts wrapped early, I always leave one or two for Christmas Eve as I think it adds to the excitement, normally stocking fillers SarahBenne67061
Ermmm nope!!! I still need to start buying my presents. November is gone by so quickly I literally have no time left
I don't buy many gifts for people but when I do I just hand it to the person (often in a carrier bag if I know they like surprises), perhaps with a card. and say "I didn't bother wrapping it - it will save you the trouble of unwrapping it" I usually get the reply "That's a great idea" - most return the favour.
I like to leave wrapping until december, even though I usually start shopping in September, but wrapping makes me feel festive so I like to have Xmas music playing while I wrap.. plus it means you see everything you’ve got and don’t overbuy..
not yet i plan to start in december though. if i do it to soon i end up forgetting what i do and dont have lol
I always keep a list of what I have bought for people and have just been plonking all the gifts in my wardrobe, yesterday I did get them all out and sort them into piles so may start to wrap some up this afternoon. Once I have finished shopping I like to get them all wrapped as it leaves time for the more pleasurable parts of Christmas.
I started a few weeks ago with all the bargains i had stuffed away in the bottom of the wardrobe..so glad i did as i recently slipped and broke my wrist in 5 places..so i will be probably on a race by Christmas eve to finish them off.
That sounds nasty and must hurt a lot. Good thing you started your wrapping early! You could use gift bags instead of wrapping for the gifts you have left if it hurts too much?
Not yet but I have ordered brown paper to wrap my presents in, it's recyclable and you can decorate it yourself if you wish. Last year I used brown paper, some ink stamps and washi (paper) tape instead of cellotape. Good way to wrap your presents and be environmentally friendly as wrapping papers aren't generally recyclable so very wasteful.
Yes I start wrapping after last birthday of the year 28 October
Wrapping is my favourite part of the run up
There is also a practical reason for starting early I dont hurt my back or forget which presents I bought for which person
yes, I've got them all done. Christmas over, thank goodness. Ready to start buying for next christmas in the january sales.
