Has Anyone Tried Lebanese Food

Ask a Question

First time in trying this cuisine and OMG it was delicious. We had a mixed mezze starter and a mixed lamb meal. There was so much lovely stuff we had never heard of before or tasted and we have tasted different cuisines. Well worth a look out for a restaurant near you.

Has anyone else tried it.

No, I haven't. I've just had to google to see what Lebanese food consists of. Lamb was coming up. I don't really ever eat lamb any more due to a) the cost b) lambs are too cute and bouncy. I would have to swap lamb for beef. I would try this dish:

Kibbeh: Considered the national dish, it features a mixture of finely minced lamb or beef, bulgur wheat, and warm spices, which can be fried, baked in a tray. Image

Sherrifffroggy yes I put it on my local face book page and people kept saying do you see kibbeh on the menu. I looked and they do so tonight we are getting a take away and we will be trying that.

No I never tried Lebanese food. Never really thought about it to be honest. I live in a village and we have a very good Indian restaurant which we visit a few times a year. But now you have mentioned how good it is i will definitely take a look online to see if we have a restaurant near us or I can get the food instore and do it myself. Always like trying new foods and flavours.

I love Lebanese food and actually had a meal in Oxford a few weeks ago. It was very nice, we had baba ganoush, hummus and flat breads then some bulgar wheat and mixed meats. We also tried a traditional alcohol which we didn’t think much of but i am glad i did try it.

I love to try all different kinds of cuisine and i find lebanese to be one of the more healthy.

martinlufc5637 been to Turkey 6 times and don’t remember eating what we had. So I think not unless I missed it. Not been for a number of years though.

Yes, I’ve enjoyed Lebanese cuisine in a few places in west London & it’s very tasty, often with a friendly service. We even went to a place for my work’s Christmas dinner last year, & I had very tasty lamb. It’s hearty food often served with warmth
