Is Anyone Waiting for the iPhone 11 Series?

Ask a Question

Thankfully, the price has not been hiked up (too much) like in the previous years, but obviously it’s still a lot to fork out for a phone, even though it’s more like a mini computer

I just read about that. But to be fair, am not surprised as it is a yearly thing.

Prices:

"The iPhone 11 is slightly cheaper than its XR forerunner in the UK, ranging between £729 and £879 depending on the amount of storage.

But the Pro models are more expensive than the XS ones, costing between £1,049 and £1,499."

Still not £2k but give it a few years and it will happen.

lol tbh I disregarded the pro as they are far too big for my liking, and definitely way too expensive for me, even though I may end up with one eventually. But not at the prices they’re charging - I’ll just stick to the standard sized phones for now

I’m using the iPhone 6 also and tbh I was put off getting the newer models once they got rid of the headphone jack. And the price just keep creeping up. I love the usability, but not worth the price tag

I upgraded last year so will skip this year, apart from the camera and a slightly faster chip I'm struggling to see what's new.

Lol funnily enough the camera has been putting people off - anyone with trypophobia

hspexy Think it's fair to say it's not the prettiest looking selection of lenses

It can wait. I wouldnt get one. Wtf is the point?! A phone doesnt NEED 2, let alone 3 cameras on the back. One on the back, one on the front. THAT'S ALL!!!

Also, thats over a months rent for a lot of people.

Do we even mention that they still need to FIX THE CHARGING WIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They called the 10th model as iPhone X, but iPhone 11 is just... 11? 😒

Lol yes they certainly tried to up their game with the marketing last year to reflect the 10 year anniversary...but I don’t think it quite got the attention they wanted, so it’s back to 11 opposed to XI I guess. They couldn’t possibly continue with the Roman numerals idea

I don't get excited by the latest phones. Each new generation isn't that much different from the previous one. Mobile manufacturers are desperate for consumers to keep buying new products every year or two when they don't really need to. I'll wait until my current phones breaks before getting a new one.

Yeah, it's just a phone. It's not like it's a Rolex.

I’ve never owned an iPhone. I’m sure I’m missing out but I really don’t need to check online content on a phone, it’s too small. I know I’m just a dinosaur.

Lol no, you're actually quite sensible. It’s one of the brands that are good at hooking people in, as once you own their products, you rarely move away. My cousin said to me when I had to use a Mac for work ‘once you go Mac, you never go back!’

hspexy the phone screens are quite small but I do sing the praises of their iPads. I’ve recommended the iPads to friends and family and wouldn’t be without one.

Pjran same here. I use the ipad for everything. It’s easier than the laptop

Apple devices generally make everything easier but also stricter and limited. hspexy

Rockman yes it’s true, so you get sucked into buying more Apple products just for ease of use. Tbh I have found that Apple products last longer, so even with the higher price tag, it’s worth it. My brother has a MacBook that’s probably about 10 years old now

You aren't really missing out on anything because what an iPhone has, many many many other smartphones also have if not more. I have an iPhone, and I can honestly say that I don't understand all the hype.

I love the iPhones but I wouldn't rush out to be the first to own one! I have the XR and it is a great phone so will wait a little longer before I upgrade. I think I will leave o2 though as Virgin have some great deals with no upfront costs!
