No, especially with all those cameras watching you, waiting for any slight mistake
I would love to be able to do it but would not be able to keep up the high standards, especially the showstoppers! I would be the first one kicked off.
It would be great for an LDer to go on the program so I shall still encourage you to enter, you are probably better than you think 
tumblespots if only. I am what is usually called a plain cook. I can do you a nice meal, a light fruit cake, sponge, and the usual things most folk do, but those showstoppers are something else. I have never decorated a cake let alone make all those fabulous creations. I will brag about my quiche though, my boss is always dropping hints for the next one!
Lynibis We all have our baking strong points. I get by but, like you, I do have some things that are always requested as favourites. Perhaps we should all stay at home and watch it instead knowing that there aren't any cameras.
Although I love to bake this would be the last thing I'd take on. Those cameras..... those lights....all that bad language and the crying (me).......then somebody actually wants answers to their questions just as your doing a fiddly bit. Noooooo! 
It would be very nerve racking and I'm surprised that anyone actually volunteers for it! It's far easier to bake at home (no crying required when on your own) and I'm no good at fiddly bits.
My mum would be so good at this as her cakes and bread are amazing. she would be petrified to do it in front of cameras though
Perhaps she needs a push in the right direction - I shall expect to see G0501's mum on the list of applicants.
tumblespots well she lives in France so it'd be the french version of the show, but that's the dessert she made on Sunday just for her and my dad!

I wouldn't get through. I love to bake but I'm no good at decorating and I've not really tried some of the stuff they do like pies and bread. Some of the people that get through are amazing. It's a nice little dream while I'm baking though 
Yes, it's the fancy stuff that they get you on isn't it. Keep baking and keep smiling
Would be fun, but I have as much chance of winning this as a singles final at Wimbledon
