Arranged Overdraft vs Credit Card

Help

What's normally a better deal? Iv currently got PayPal credit but I'm looking for something for emergency situations like a car break down, you can't always use PayPal. Not needed atm but thought I'd put something in place as I can't save due to nursery fees but come September I won't have any.

The Bank of Mum & Dad or Granny is usually a better bet when there's an emergency. The trouble with arranging an overdraft or increasing your credit card limit (at a time when you don't need the money) is that you tend to dip into it (and use it all up) long before the real emergency.

I learnt my lesson the hard way some years ago and always pay off my credit card in full now every month.

A good point I think that is part of the problem why I can't save - because it's there I spend it! Unfortunately I haven't got anyone that can lend me money 😞

MumOfThree That's often the way. Maybe you could do something like baby-sitting to earn a few extra quid to stash away for a 'rainy day'. Pay it into a building society account immediately you get it to stop yourself spending it! Putting rainy day money in a biscuit tin or under the mattress doesn't work - it's too easy to raid it. 😊

How does the PayPal credit card work? Can you only use or where you can use PayPal? Or can you use it in any shop like a normal credit card?

Only shops that accept PayPal. I bought an iPad interest free as long I repay in a year, I was going to get on with a contract but this would have worked out more expensive so it can be good.
