In the News
I thought the system of self service was infallible, unless the thieves switched barcodes and removed the alarm tags
I suppose it doesnt take long for them to find a way to cheat the system
At least they got their car registration , i doubt if they used a loyalty card

I know a man who got caught he had a load of meat from the butcher counter and put it in as onions carrots and other veg but he did not even get to the door with it
Yes M, i am sure the supermarkets are wise to most scams, i know they have cameras trained on the self service section and this is a back up to the other security measures
I remember this one from a while ago, An on duty police officer stuck a barcode sticker on a pack of Krispy Kreme donuts in an attempt to buy them for 7p. He was sacked for gross misconduct.
{t's ridiculous the risks people take to try and save a few quid.
I remember reading that a while back too S, a very silly thing to do to lose your job for
I think supermarkets probably lose quite a bit of money through the self service tills, with people doing stuff like this. Or just not scanning certain items, like Antony Worrall Thompson got caught doing some years back.
I can never understand how it's done but they say that there are ways and loses high, maybe not as much as wages they don't want to pay?
Yes S, self service isn't for the benefit of the customer it's about saving the supermarket money, you are doing the job of the cashier
I never use them tills I prefer humans.
There will be loads Stolen by tampering.
Nothing goes well when I used them, I am often calling someone to help. So you are waiting for ages.
