Asda.website...when trying to share a deal.... photo does not automatically appear, when I try to copy it by holding my finger on the image....it enlarges the image/ zooms in but does not offer options to copy and paste.. has anyone had this problem and know how to get around it?

That is really why you should go through the contact us form. Really there is not much we can say to help.

Fine just wondering if anyone else has had the problem and knew how to solve it, if you are all annoyed by a quick query I think you can ignore it but I will take note

Sarahvwomble it is not annoyed by a quick query, it's just not really a chat topic and not quite sure what you are asking, or I am willing to admit I am super thick.

Are you trying to post a deal or what? What are you doing it on? If I hold finger on an image on my tablet it usually allows you to download and then when you touch the camera when posting the images you have downloaded will pop up. Just click on image and the word done.

Sarahvwomble I have often found that when I am on a page of several items and try to download one image it will not work. But if I click on the item and bring it up on it's own it will work. Try if you haven't already and please do let me know if it works.

Lynibis thanks but I am always on the items own page and there is only the one image there

Sarahvwomble It's always been this way with Asda. I screenshot it and then adjust the image. Better still, copy a stock photo from another site. (I shared a bottle of something today and had to go elsewhere for a decent image - you're not the only one)

sunny101 yes with some websites I have resorted to that before now, as this today was a Asda kettle, could not get another pic as you can with brands.I am useless at screenshot I am afraid, but thanks, knowing it is not just me helps!

Hey Sarahvwomble 🙂

This is a bit of a quirk I believe with how Asda's website works and how they display images.

I'm afraid I don't know a proper way to circumvent this (perhaps someone else will!) but you could theoretically take a screenshot on your phone and then edit/crop it to the right size if Asda's site isn't playing ball.

I will however see if I can tweak the LD system to see if I can get it to automatically fetch the image 👍

Sarahvwomble There is what is probably an easier way if you're using Windows 10 on your PC: Find "snipping tool" which allows you to screen grab just a portion of screen, then save to desktop from there you can add it to deal (or onto here). It only takes a few seconds when you get used to it. When you've finished you can delete it from desktop.

Here's an example: Image

davidstockport may well be to complex for me but I will try later, thank you....anything the adorable Muttley tells me will be treasured!

Sarahvwomble It might seem complicated but the "snipping tool" on W10 is very easy to use, it is almost definitely on your computer if you have W10.

If a website doesn't updoad a photo to latest deals i just download the image to phone or screenshot and upload it from my gallery

Yes I have done that before, mind you it took such a time as don't know what I am doing! But that wouldn't work in this case as it would only enlarge the pic

I have posted asda deals without picture or in one case I took a photo of the item after I'd got home. If you bought one yourself you could try that

When i have that problem with Asda I just go to google images then grab the image url from there, if not grab a image url of the same item from another site via google images
