Has anyone tried ASMR for sleep or relaxation? What are your thoughts?
I discovered it by accident but can’t sleep without it now.
I would like to know what ASMR is to be honest.
And before anyone says, I'm not going to Google it.
It's basically your body reacting to certain sounds (whispering, scratching, etc), alot of people say it's like a tingling sensation that relaxes them & helps them sleep. Similar to fingers on a blackboard sensation I guess. I just found alot of the videos on youtube creepy

ASMR is an acronym for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Basically describes a unique sensation experienced by certain people in response to certain stimuli. Like for example, have you ever listened to the rain battering on your window at night and felt really sleepy/relaxed? That’s experiencing ASMR.
Honestly noises annoy me when I'm trying to sleep relaxation noises wind me up then sleeping becomes a chore
That's weirdly popular on YouTube, but I try to avoid it completely. It just annoys me because, why the hell would I want to listen to someone making stupid noises?!
Instead, I watch a show and fall asleep.
Is this that thing that weird Millennial type YouTube stars do where they whisper gently and make very particular noises? Let's just say some of the videos I saw when somebody told me about this looked like they provide a lot more than help to sleep.
