Personally, I trust the vaccine and its ingredients as there has been a downfall in cases and events eventhough there has been reports of blood clot side effects, I believe it is not common in most people.... please share your thoughts on this matter

I felt bad for a couple of days, really bad. I will still have my second vaccination though. I didn’t feel ill on the day, it hit me the next day, I couldn’t stand up and collapsed fortunately on the bed. Still better than having Covid.

I won't be getting the vaccine and a lot of people will be worried now who have had it when out of 30 people who got blood clots and 7 died from it

Only seven died out of millions! If only that number died out of the millions exposed to Covid, then we'd have very little to worry about.

I've now had both jabs and I'm about as worried about getting a blood clot, because I've had the jabs, as I am about being hit by a meteorite.

davidstockport no there has been 30 cases here and 7 have died out if that 30 so yeah it needs to be looked into Ive said from day one things will come out months after people had the vaccine

Leannexxx Even though RARE people would have died of the blood clot regardless of the vaccine. Every day people have been dying of blood clots for many years before the vaccine. Even if it is proved that some people did get a blood clot because of the vaccine it will still be an acceptable risk for those who fully understand risk factors.

davidstockport yeah to some people it will be and that's fine for me there is a risk and i won't be having it

Leannexxx Can I ask if you like to fly? If you do, you'll probably need it, and flying also carries high odds of DVT. I'm more worried about getting a DVT when flying than Covid jab clot.

lilyflower nope I don't fly at all I have my reasons for not having the vaccine as im pregnant and im at high risk of blood clots anyway so no matter what I won't be having it

lilyflower I too also nearly mentioned the risk of DVT when flying, and yet many of those put off the jab by the risk of a blood clot will carry on flying... that's unless the places they want to fly to won't accept them unless they've been vaccinated.😀 😀

davidstockport Spot on. As you say, there's more chance of someone getting hit my a meteorite than there is of that person a blood clot from the Astrazeneca / Oxford Vaccine.

To put that in perspective you have a better chance of getting hit by a tornado and a bolt of lightning and a hurricane all at the same time, than you do of getting a blot clot from the vaccine.

Leannexxx You know, I once posted a video on YouTube of news of a Utah woman who died due to taking the vaccine and YouTube removed it temporarily declaring it "Misinformation."

Yeah, people dying is just "misinformation," alright, Google.

Leannexxx Isn't that 30 cases in the UK out of 30 million innoculations.. so a 1 in a million chance. or a 1 in 7 million chance of complications. Your chance of being in a car accident are far, far greater then this!!

davewalsh126 no its the case that yeah 30 cases of blood clots 7 of them died so in my opinion it should be looked at i bet there will be more issues with it down the line

LeannexxxThe EMA finding followed an in-depth review of 86 cases of blood clots - 18 of which were fatal - as of 22 March out of around 25 million people who had received the vaccine.

This means the risk of these rare blood clots is around four in a million.

However, there is actually more chance of women having a blood clot by just taking a contraceptive pill every day than actually having the vaccine

davewalsh126 difference is that the government is not asking everyone to take the pill are they fact is if it will put peoples minds a rest who have had it or what it why not test it more and use the other vaccines

I got the other one - but this wouldnt have put me off. Out of millions who have had the jab a few have had clots and a few of these have sadlly died. Many more though would have died of covid. you just have to weigh up the risks.

didbygraham not strictly true, the clots seem to affect under 30's most, thus government moving that age group to moderna jab, most covid deaths come from older people so comparing covid deaths against jab/clot deaths is misleading and that's not taking into account the fact that the government use the died within 28 days of testing positive meaning covid may not have actually caused the death

i have had the first jab waiting for second one and thats a chance we all take getting blood clots. it seems that having the jab seems to be safer than not having it. looking forward to going out and getting some kind of normality back although things will never be the same again,

Has anyone looked into the fact that being sedentary for long periods is a big factor in causing blood clots? Is it possible some of that 30 have just enjoyed being at home rather too much & have rarely moved in the last year?

All medications/ vaccines etc carry a risk however minuscule. Iv had my first jab & was ILL for days afterwards & it took over 2 weeks for my appetite to return. I'm more apprehensive about feeling sick again after my next jab then the minuscule risk of bloodclots.

30 cases in over 18 million is barely worth worrying about. So no.

There are a lot of things that can cause blood clots (sitting down too much being one of them). And as davidstockport said this is out of millions, so it's such a tiny percentage.

30 cases in the tens of millions who have had the AZ vaccine in the UK (hasn't been linked to date ) . Probably more cases of blood clots in the 40% of adults who have NOT had the vaccine ?

Blood clots happen to dozens of people every year way before any vaccines were invented .

Personally I would trust the advice given by the medics and scientists . If you don't have the jab/s and want to live a near normal life after June there is a pretty good chance you will catch the virus then it's in the lap of the gods whether you recover , suffer long covid , or sadly die !

I know which odds I prefer !

1 in 150 people infected with covid die , whereas less than 1 in 2 million vaccinated people have died from blood clots. There is a risk from any drug, paracetamol included, but I don’t hear people saying they won’t take that. However, I think is is right to pause the trials on children until more is known.

Grannyclock yeah there is a risk with everything but I think it should be looked into further i honestly think there will be more cases

Read lots of comments about this, If this would be your relatives who died ,I don't think you would say its only 30,and just 7 died. If we would count numbers from other counties it would be different.Lots of counties now stop it and not recommend to use if you are over 65.

NatalyKroxa im with you on this one but as some people will say look at all the people who have died from covid so what its 30 people me I think no matter how many people got blood clots or anything else what might come up it should all be looked into

Far more people die from the side effects of Aspirin or Paracetamol - what do you take them for? - to ease a headache 🙄. Think if I'm going to perish through the side effects of taking a drug it'll be a drug that will probably save my life not one that eases a headache .

The risk of taking the AZ vaccine is miniscule , We all know the risk of catching Covid 😏.

Leannexxx Can't believe this numbers, because test are often wrong, people as before died from disease, but more people die coz they can't get to the doctors ,planed operation was canceled, people didnt received their treatment in time. Everyone can have own opinion regarding covid and jab,and this topic will rise argument.

NatalyKroxa I think it’s younger people that they are more worried about. Also, the reverse is also true - what if one of your relatives died from Covid? The medical experts have to decide on a calculation of risk based on the whole population.

Grannyclock From covid or with covid is 2 different things. And as we all know jab doesn't protect you to not get it. As I said I dont wanna have an argument and prove to anyone my point. But I know that lots of people decide to go have a job only to travel and not pay for a test.

At the end of the day, people have their own opinions and choices whether to take the vaccine or not... however we should support those who have had the vaccine and are now worried about these rumours/risks.... covid or not, blood clots still happen to people on a regular basis (not that it should be happening but that is the fact)

Whilst I am not denying that it could lead to bloodclots, this is indeed a very rare occurance and nothing short of scaremongering. I will be taking which ever vaccine is offered to me.
