Where Can I Get This Aubergine/eggplant?

Ask a Question

Does anyone know where I can get these? I can sometimes find them in some Chinese and Asian supermarkets, but they’re really hard to come by

lol thanks for the suggestion, but yes, they’re different - not baby aubergines, just long aubergines, the shape of a cucumber

Johnny lol yes, as mentioned, I can only ever find them in Asian and Chinese supermarkets, never at any standard ones. And you pay for the privilege of shopping at the Asian and Chinese supermarkets. Was hoping to be able to get them in more mainstream stores

I have never seen these before. Can I ask what's the difference between these and the normal ones? Do they taste better? Is the texture different?

They’re longer and thinner, so they're more versatile to use, and cook quicker. I find the flesh much more tender, and less likely to go slimy. They’re great to have for salads as well
