Author Claims Aaron Kosminski Was Truly Jack the Ripper

Researcher Russell Edwards is claiming he has finally identified who jack the ripper was through DNA from a blood stained shawl from one of his victims
This was then matched with one of Kosminskis sisters descendants , proving he was the ripper
Kosminski was a Jewish immigrant from Poland
It was already reported in 1894 as the Macnaghten Memorandum , where it says, quote, '' detectives believed he had a great hatred of women, especially of the prostitute class, and had strong homicidal tendencies''
He ended up in a lunatic asylum
So it seems conclusive he was the killer, or does it ?
Now we only need to find out what happened to Lord Lucan !
Every author says they know who he was when in fact they don't no one will ever know who he was

Leannexxx That's true, even though they found his DNA on the victims shawl as it matches his family via his sisters does not mean he murdered her , maybe he just was paying for her services
The only thing pointing to him doing it could be he was known to be sadistic and homicidal, and ended up in a lunatic asylum
Lots of different authors have said that they can prove who Jack the Ripper is. I don't think they ever will. Surely the DNA would no longer be viable for testing after all that time as DNA degrades unless stored properly.
MrsCraig I am not an expert but i believe they can do this now ,especially with old blood samples , it used to only be up to a few months old and stored at low temperatures but technology is improving all the time, look what they are doing now with DNA, bringing certain extinct species back to life
MrsCraig He was a sadistic killer and for that era he was an exception, not many murderers went to the extent he did, and i think that is what makes it fascinating
But when you read the news today you can see far more atrocious acts happening in our so called civilised society , some more shocking than then
In that same article it states some scientists question the DNA evidence stating it could be pretty much anyone of European descent. Interesting though, I guess he is the front runner but still doesn't feel like its conclusively this person. There are over 100 murders a year in London nowadays.
