I rarely get a takeaway but if I do I order online & get it delivered 🙂

I generally get it online because we're a family of different tastes and its easier for my brain to see it written in front of me

I'm used to get take away but I got my brother to use the just eat app and it would be delivered to our home or we would eat fast food outside in a restaurant too

I never go and collect nowadays but used to in the past. It's pretty much always online nowadays I can't remember the last time I called a takeaway.

I live in an area where the local takeaway shop is about 7 miles from me. They charge me £10 to deliver. We don't have Deliverroo, or anything like that. So it's either stumping up the tenner or fetching it myself.

That’s like where my mum lives could never get a take away delivery because she lives in the middle of no where.

Depends what it is. If it's something like Domino's then online. If it's a local Chinese, by phone as they're not available online, and I can make special requests.

A lot of good Chinese are still by phone and collection iv noticed they haven’t seemed to join the online ordering yet

Faye1 I think anywhere that you want to make a little change to a menu item (or set menu), you have to call. You might have a request option on the website, but they're often ignored, so best to phone in these situations anyway.

MeestairChrees so far online Iv been lucky when I have requested certain things be added like cheese or no salad they have done it.

Faye1 mine are normally slightly fussier requests like swapping a dish out for something else on a set menu.

Faye1 also did an order with a chip shop at a families house and they ignored anything we requested. Felt weird even ordering chips online though - it's just not the kind of takeaway I'd ever think to order - just walk there and buy stuff, but it was a huge family gathering.

Usually call and then go and collect as it’s quite local.

Usually call up and go collect it or just call into the shop, a lot of places don't deliver to me because I'm just over the radius

That’s like where my mum lives. she can’t get them to deliver because it’s out of the way but they are building new houses around now so maybe in the future it will be easier
