B and M Lockdown Rules

I hardly ever use B and M anyway. I don't know if this is the case with all of their stores but in my local there is never any more than two tills open. No matter how busy the shop gets. But even then, you are lucky to have the two tills open.

One of the last places I'd want to get near someone during this time is B&M. This is based on the customers in my local one before I moved anyway. They smelt a bit funny.

Just like all the other store really, went in yesterday to buy some plants, queue was quite long but went down quickly, once inside quieter than normal with a one way system through the aisles in place. Worse part was the outdoor garden area where everyone seemed to be congregating with no regard to social distancing whatsoever. Checkouts were slightly improved in so much that people have to queue in one line in the end aisle until one of the checkouts becomes free.

I went into B&M a few weeks ago, they were very social distancing conscious. They had somebody checking near the checkouts that people were obeying the distancing marks. Obviously you do get the idiots that think they're immune and untouchable, but on the whole it was better social distancing rules than my local supermarket

I do like some items from there but I haven’t been in since lockdown. I passed a local store and the queue was down the road!

My b&m has been fantastic at enforcing social distancing, much better than all the greedy supermarkets where it’s a complete free for all now

Why would anyone want to go to any shops unless they absolutely have to. I have set foot outside my front door twice since lockdown, both times for a walk round the block. I have managed (with minor struggles) to get food delivered and I have had a couple of necessary things delivered from Amazon in order to complete diy and gardening to keep myself sane whilst in isolation.

We’re having to use the local B&M as a supermarket for essentials as no supermarket close by and the struggle with deliveries. Ours have been great. It does get busy at weekends but they have someone on the door checking on the number going on and out. You have to queue outside if there are too many inside.

Every time I've gone to my local B&M the only way I've noticed them actually listening to social distancing is by limiting the amount of people in the store. But once I'm inside, the staff are more often than not, stood less than 2 meters/6 foot apart in group's of 2, 3 or 4 while restocking certain shelves or talking. I understand that them/management want them to get their jobs done quicker rather than slower, that doesn't mean it's necessary to risk the lives of staff and customers. I've also noticed the staff don't necessarily try to keep at least 2 meters from customers around the store as well. It's up to you if you want to go though.

They have a one way system inside the shop and controlled queuing at certain check out aisles . There was also someone controlling the door and manually opening and closing it. Telling customers when they can enter.

Ours is always manic but our store is very large with a home and garden section and big food selection including frozen aisles, fresh bread deliveries and some fresh fruit and

veg so I can go there and pretty much get everything I need.
