Baby Names - Boris and Carrie
In the News
So, what do we think their new baby boy will be named? Will it be something traditional or more modern? I think it will be something quite traditional like David, James, Richard or something like that.
Perhaps a mix of both parents names - Barrie/Barry. In the English origin, Barry means "Fair-haired; Blonde" so it seems quiet appropriate. Realistically though I think there is zero chance of this.
"Fair-haired blondE" seems very inappropriate for a boy. (Blond maybe).
I know a true story about a man describing himself as "blonde" in a newpaper dating ad - he got some very strange replies
davidstockport Have to admit I copied the meaning without it even occurring to me that they had used the feminine form.
seasider71 It does seem strange that it referred to Barry which was (as far as I knew) always a male name. I've since checked and found Barry can also be a female name - but is then pronounced Barree.
seasider71 Don't listen to a lot he says, he's just here to stir things up.
I've got him on mute.
He's has children called Milo Arthur, Lara Lettice, Theodore Apollo, Cassia Peaches This one is going to have something out of the ordinary too.
Crikey RuthSwain there goes my theory. It will probably be something really unconventional then.
Maybe he will go for something like Endeavour or Thadeus, it will deffo be off the wall unless Carrie puts her foot down!
Had no idea who Carrie was (still don't) but I'm assuming his partner? I opened this at first thinking you were suggesting they were going to be popular names this year. Let's hope Boris isn't a popular baby name going forward!
They’ve announced his name as Wilfred (Boris’ granddad) Lawrie (Carrie‘s grandad) Nicholas (after the 2 doctors called Nick who cared for Boris)
I'm surprised after someone mentioned his other kids names. I thought it would be a bit more weird!
rararachel Carrie probably wanted something that sounded quite ordinary. Boris probably still isn’t 100% so hasnt the time or energy to be too creative
Carrie's fine, but Boris is.. eh. Andrew, Steven/Stephen, Matthew, Alexander, Daniel, Donald, Richard, Charles, Bronson, Tom, Bruce, Alan, etc.
There's plenty of better names than Boris.
Boris is his second name his real name is Alexander
I used to hate my name Alice but don’t mind it now as it’s a traditional English name, my bf is called Richard and his brothers are Edward and James so they are like a family of Kings
