Baby Pillows / Stuff

Ask a Question

Hi,

Is it me or are baby stuff like pillows and duvet really expensive?

Why is that?

No good pillow under £10

Dont get me wrong, i dont mind paying, but at the same time it feels like they are taking a micky with prices.

Baby stuff, no matter what it is, is always expensive! You don't need a pillow or a duvet till they are one or older, so unless you happen to see one on offer, I would just wait. You can save money on baby stuff by buying it 2nd hand or if you have family or friends that have children slightly older then ask if they can pass stuff down to you and offer them something for it. You can sometimes get stuff for free from fb etc but things like pillows and duvets will never be cheap.

Babies cost as much or as little as you are willing or can afford to pay.

I found one yesterday that was £2.98, but i was not feeling well so i did not order it. Today it is out of stock. So I will probably wait. I have a lot of stuff that i got from friends and family are sending packages as they dont live her in UK.

You would think that baby stuff should not be expensive as you dont need a lot fabric to make something, but omg.. you need to own a bank to be able to buy things that you want!!! HAHA

Thanks for your advice. really helpful!!!

AndreaAndzic some baby clothes cost more than adult clothes! I always buy his clothes 2nd hand. The price of some things is unreal.

Congratulations, I know this can be a happy but exhausting time, and it must be especially difficult in lockdown. Wishing you all the Best, it takes a while to get used to the fact everything has change due to one small human 🤗

You get used to the lack of sleep, taking hours to get ready, the crying ... constant changing nappies, feeling inadequate. Everyone feels like that.It just becomes the norm🙂

But it comes with big rewards the first smile, the cuddles AndreaAndzic

Congratulations 🎊 hope your little girl let's you get some sleep! My son used to wake up every hour for feeds until he was 3 and a half months, then it was very 2 hours! Babies are exhausting and you never get to nap when they nap!
