Bank Holiday Today

Ask a Question

Are you venturing out or sticking as best you can to lockdown rules. I haven’t been out since March and to be honest not missing the outside world. Very happy in my family bubble.

Certainly won't be venturing out as I am not selfish like some people.

No doubt our local beauty spots and beaches will be full of mindless cretins today.

I would have set up the BBQ for me and wife, but I can't go out in the sun at the moment ☹️

If you go out remember to take your cardboard aeroplane or is it a boat?

Working all day. It doesn't look busy on the roads etc though from what I have seen. I think everybody saying "Dominic Cummings' actions will cause harm" has actually had the weird psychological effect of making people think even more. We'll see what **** of an excuse he comes out with at 4pm. No pressure Dom.

Just because it's a bank holiday doesn't mean its acceptable to break the lockdown rules, it's just another day

Went for a walk locally (we live on the canal and surrounded by fields so lots of walks nearby) though we avoided actually walking on the canal as there are people fishing blocking the towpath, families biking and groups of runners. Instead went on footpaths and encountered only one other couple in 6 miles (and some lovely cows).

Just went for a 260mile drive up to Durham then went to Barnard Castle then a walk in the woods !!

In reality I have done 1 dog walk and that's it.

eyeballkerry Check the legitimacy of the photo because the majority are fake. That was certainly the case with recent photos of Southend. That's not to say people are not being **** heads.

Thought that interview was poorly handled by the Press - so many holes in the explanation - but the Press had pre decided the questions to ask and didn't adapt to the answers they were given - like a dog chasing the wrong bone .

Anyway , its old news , age old news . We have rules and laws always ignored by two groups -The Elite (or those who consider themselves Elite) and the Underclass .

Others , happily the majority of us , know that this is everyone's problem and we get on with life as best we can and probably 80% of us keep the R number down and protect the other 20% by force of numbers complying to the rules .

The Underclass and the elite will always flout the rules - Move on !

I simply pop out for a walk at 730am and then straight back home.

I really think Dominic C's actions make a mockery of the 'Stay at Home' messaging. This is a car crash for the government. There is no reason why people will want to stay at home now.

The Government will have to relax everything and open up markets and all non-essential shops.

Let's just hope the 'R' number stays low!

Ceebers The government won't have to do anything. See my comment above and everybody else's in fact!

I've got some absolute twits (substitute 'i' with 'a') in my family and they had a gathering with their friends yesterday.

They drive me mental.
