Battery or Electricity Operated Christmas Lights Which You Prefer?

I prefer the Electric current operated Christmas lights esp for my Christmas tree as they are livelier and have a constant glow.. 
but on our hallway just the battery ones.. how abt you?

operations so its a plug in for me 
i have battery lights operated on my hallway and they last like only 5days and i need to change them again
