Would a Beauty Price Comparison Tool Be Useful for You?

Ask a Question

Image

Hello everyone, would a beauty price comparison tool be useful for you?

Following the success of the supermarket price comparison tool Kelsey made, we're wondering whether something similar for beauty products may be of interest?

For example, if you could search: Mac mascara, pick the one you like, and see where it is cheapest (at trusted big stores).

Would this be useful? Is finding the cheapest prices for beauty difficult? Latest Deals, being made by three non-make-up-wearing guys, we can't say we have too much personal experience with it, so any insight would be very much appreciated!

Example of the idea:

Tom Beauty is just make up (sometimes hair dye), skin care would include moisturisers, toners, face wash, cleansers, anti-aging etc skin care would also do sun cream and some places include shower gels, shampoos and such too

Tom Drugstore make up items are brands that are easily sought in most places such as supermarkets & high street stores. Brands such as Loreal, Rimmel, Maybelline etc then there is higher end beauty items that are sold in more limited places & commonly cost alot more eg Chanel, Dior, Lancome, Elizabeth Arden etc.

I would find a beauty tool very useful as beauty & skincare tends to be my highest luxury spend. Im always finding items cheaper elsewhere or with free delivery after iv purchased elsewhere.

This is a great idea. I always struggle with this, end up finding a cheaper one after I've already got one. I would love to see a fragrance comparison tool as well. 😊

Absolutely, I was trying to do this the other night by flicking through different websites. I came across one that has the same idea but thought it was missing things like searching by skin concerns and reviews would be helpful as well. For a nube at skincare having everything together would be awesome and would make it so much easier.

Thanks for your feedback. If we do do something it’ll probably be very simple... search for the product and just see the results. Very similar to the supermarket price comparison tool we have

Yes definitely. If this includes fragrances, such as perfumes, that’s even better - always hunting for good deals on those as gifts

This would be hugely helpful. I’ve tried pricespy for beauty and fragrance but it can be difficult to find the products. Great idea Tom! 👍

I don't really have a need for mascara myself, but please don't forget beauty products for men! Always handy to know where the deals on moisturisers and shaving balms are
