One's I like and others I know are brie, camembert, stilton abd a good strong cheddar. Then crackers or biscuits, maybe grapes and some chutneys 😊 At Christmas they tend to bring out more interesting flavours of cheese and selection boxes

It depends on the tastes of the guests. I like strong cheeses, so the likes of the smelly blues and Camembert are must haves. If you like alcohol infused cheeses, the snowdonia company do a gorgeous whisky cheddar, not smelly at all

The snowdonia brand is so nice, the chilli cheese they do is nice, and a chocolate one too πŸ™ˆ

Mmm, a smoked cheddar is the best! Pretty much agree with you other than brie!

I would definitely recommend having a mix as that's what makes it special to have a cheese board. I'd go cheddar, Wensleydale, Edam, Brie, Stilton and double Gloucester.

Anything other than maggot cheese. I like a strong blue cheese, extra mature Cheddar, Jarlsberg, Emmental , etc

Has anyone heard of raclette cheese? It is usually melted and poured on to new potatoes and eaten with pickles etc. You can buy a small circular raclette machine into which you slide little triangular shaped shovels which are heated until the cheese melts. It is great at dinner parties, I suppose a little like fondue. Google gives more info.
