The Best Coffee
Ask a Question
What is the best coffee in your opinion? For instant coffee, it has to be L’or for me.. in takeaway coffee, it would be Cafe Nero or Tim Hortons.. and I’ve tried a LOT of coffee!
We are drinking one from lidl at the moment and it’s really good “douwe Egberts” but do love a Costa and a Starbucks too
I really enjoy Singl coffee but I'm not sure this independent seller will survive the current situation. OH loves Tassimo Espresso and Cappuccino. Cafe Nero for takeaway and Nescafe for visitors because they're not keen on our strength of coffee.
I prefer flavoured coffees. I often pick up them up from TK Maxx. Fav at the mo is a Artisan Tiramisu. I always have a supply of Starbucks filter coffee in cupboard too.
and there was me being so polite....... I have to agree that most of them are wishy-washy. Reminds me of an advert from US where two elderly ladies sidle up to the burger wagon, lift the bap lid, look at the contents and shout 'where's the beef?'
I haven't tried all of them of course but my personal go to coffee is Alta Rica. I have it with a spoonful of coffeemate, half a spoon of sugar and a glug of milk.
When out I like the occasional treat of a cappuccino.
I don’t drink hot drinks but my colleagues at work have said that Douwe Egberts is the best or Azzera or somthing like that lol x
I have to be honest for freeze dried coffee from supermarkets under their own brands I can't really taste the difference be it Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Lidl, Aldi etc I'm sure its all done by the same company which I think is based in Germany. I do like Costa coffee but tend to have their mocha coffee. Probably the most common coffee I have out is Lavazza at Wetherspoons with the free refills (well maybe not at the moment).
I don't use instant at home. Instead I use a pour over coffee maker, but I like to try different brands/beans, rather than always buy the same type. Although, it's a bit of a faff using this method, so I mainly drink coffee when I'm out and about. Out of the large chains I favour Starbucks, but I prefer the coffee served in smaller independent specialists, which are fairly numerous in my area
nescafe Azera is great, previously had a tassimo machine and loved the costa pods, now have got a nespresso machine and use the Aldi compatible pods, the Ethiopian is very nice as is their Colombian and v reasonable price
It has to be Jamaican blue mountain, although I’m not a fan of coffee. But blue mountain is smooth and one of the world’s finest
I quite like Alta Rica. I have tried it on it's own and it is great. At the moment I am mixing Sainsbury's rich roast (2 teaspoons) with Alta Rica (3 and a half teaspoons).
I drink the Gold Roast from Aldi, quite nice actually. Tried today some sort of cookie dough coffee, yuck :/
